On July 31st, 2003, we received the following email from WVEC Channel 13 news in Norfolk, VA:

The really amusing thing is that the whole email ends with "Regards," like we're old friends. How does someone decide what to write in a situation like that? We wonder how many different closings he tried before settling on "Regards."  "Love, Pete McElveen"?  "Yours truly"?  "Regretfully"?  "We're-a-local-news-outlet-but-we-act-like-corporate-jerks-from-ABC"? What an incredibly absurd letter to send a garage-band filmmaking operation like ours. Of course, being the nice people we are, we complied. But only to set an example for the kids.
